We Make Gift Giving Beautiful
Cairo, 2019. Two friends. One observation: when you wanted to send someone a thoughtful breakfast — a real one, with the ribbon and the handwritten note and the still-warm pastries — you couldn’t. Cafés would deliver food, but it wasn’t a gift. Florists would wrap a bouquet, but it wasn’t breakfast. So we built the thing that didn’t exist.
Seven years, thousands of trays, one rule.
The first year was just us, two stovetops, and a borrowed delivery scooter. The second year we hired a baker. By the fourth, we had three permanent suppliers and a small studio off Road 9. We’ve grown — but the rule we wrote in week one is the rule we still ship by today.
If it doesn’t feel like a gift, it doesn’t leave our kitchen.
Every choice we make — what to put on the tray, who to source from, how to wrap it, when to ship it, what the card paper feels like — we hold up against that single sentence.
